I have 64gb of memory but i do run VM's with 8gb allocated so i need to leave a little meat on the bone so to speak. wondering if i would benefit from adding some L1 to my cache task 2 or I should just leave it? Anything else look untoward or able to be improved upon? I just used the preset to select "accelerate read" as my starting point on both. Changed block size and disabled L1 for the HDDs and that was about it. L2 cache says it can use up to 6gb of ram at that block size.
this is an all purpose browsing/gaming/serving plex machine fwiw. Something is awry with these settings because i tried loading launchbox and its still sitting here with the progress bar panning as i type out this post. With the volume its on disabled it opens in about 10 seconds off of the hdd.
