On reboot does L1 fillup with whats in L2?

Just wondering if it's still worth having a 120 SSD as my L2 even though my main drive is 4 x SSD RAID 0.

Just so when it reboot it gathers all the files it wants into L1 cache from a seperate drive.

Just a personal opinion, if you have 4 x ssd in raid, level 2 cache would be a total waste.

L1 cache will gather some of the well used files, such as those for booting etc., but it depends I would suspect how much L1 cache you have. I have 5gb, which does fill up over the course of a few hours use, and as it shows over 90% hits after a boot, that supports the notion it does gather well used files.
I have had 2 x ssd raid in the past for my main drive, and cannot think for a minute you would see any benefit, possibly even a loss of speed from using level 2 cache.
I have a multi boot system, and use a portion of my 256gb ssd, (windows 7), for cache on other partitions booting off traditional drives, and it works very well indeed, (Windows 8.1 and Win XP).
