I want to know if there is a conflict with using a SSDHD type drive like my new Seagate 2TB. It showed 172 GBs in cache on primo and unreal speed tested in Crystal Hd tester. But I suspect it is in conflict with the HD cache. main game would not boot on steam and when Primo task was removed it dropped on Crystal to super low.
After a few changes with settings it boots games and seems to work fine and fast.. just wondering if the SSDHD 8GB HD cache will conflict with the Primo Cache. I checked Volatile Cache Contents..unchecked Start at Windows Boot. I may play around with these to see if goes back to bugs.
Question is: Could there be a Cache conflict with an SSDHD and it's stupid small from 2013 Cache of 8 lousy GBs unchanged and using Primo Cache? I do have wildly high Total Reads sometimes now with my 45 GB SSD LEVEL 2 ...sometimes over 200 GBs!
Seagate SSDHD 2 TB drive and Primo Cache: Conflicts of Cache?
Re: Seagate SSDHD 2 TB drive and Primo Cache: Conflicts of Cache?
Theoretically, PrimoCache supports all hard disks whether they are SSD, HDD, or SSHD. PrimoCache uses an abstract layer to fit all kinds of disks and doesn't need to know details of underlying disks.
Can you upload a screenshot with your cache settings? I'm not sure why you check the option "Volatile Cache Contents".
