Problems with restarting

Post by mitchytan92 »

I am currently just using my SSD as L2 cache. I changed nothing for L1 cache. I am just doing a ssd cache. However after setting up, about 50% of the time, I cannot restart my computer. My computer will just go to the Restart screen (with the spinning dots) then the computer screen turns black and it just stuck at there. I suspect is because of PrimoCache because after I deleted it, the problem is gone. Shutting down works fine but not the same for restart. I am running Windows 10 x64 and the latest version of PrimoCache. Is anyone having the same problem?

Hello,
yes similar. You can see my post here: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=2925
In this context, I realized something else. A reboot or shutdown (from Windows) takes a long time, just as long as the cache is nearly full. The normal start (power - BIOS--> Windows) goes without problems
My computer restarts, but i have to wait. About 5 - 10 minutes. And only when the L2-cache is nearly full.
I hope that the developer will solve the issue.
Greetings

I think mine is different. I just found out how to recreate the problem.
1. Shut down my computer and off all the switch
2. On my computer again
3. Restart and it is stuck in a black screen for like 5-10 mins and BSOD with an error message "DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE" and then it reboots...

If I boot my computer from a restart, I can restart fine. But if I boot from a shut down, I cannot restart properly.

Today I tried reformatting my computer and the same thing happens.

Switching off fast start-up seems to solve the problem but is there any other better solution?

Does it happen when you don't turn off all the switch?

Oh. I tried nope. The problem I guess is just with fast startup+Nvidia+Primocache L2 cache.
