Utilise mem above 3gb on Windows 10 32bit

Post by Saintnick »

Hi,

Will your product allow utilizing any installed memory above the Windows 32 bit 3GB limit?

So I have a laptop with 4GB, and task manager shows 1GB as hardware reserved. Will that 1 GB be usable for PrimoCache?

Regards, Nick

Thanks for the info and the link. I read it and It looks good and sensible.

For the meanwhile I first need to get the PC in question to upgrade to Win 10. Not an easy task on my custom built Asus MoBo with my two disks on a (discontinued) Silicon Image Sil3132 PCIe Sata board (I don't even remember why I originally did that, but surely I had a good reason ? :-)
Already the first attempt failed at 72% or something like that. I have ideas for the next attempt.

But it may be a lost cause to want to upgrade. Better perha[s try clean install (with Media Creator).
Even too much of its hardware may prove to be a lost cause, for Win 10.

But if I do manage it, then it could be cool to use the extra invisible 1GB for caching with PrimoCache, giving me basically SSD performance without SSD.

I got Win 10/64 to install, so I guess the challenge went away...
