Hi,
I have two 512 SSD drives. One is a OCZ and the other is a Samsung EVO. The Samsung EVO has it's own caching software called Samsung Magician. Should I disable that and use PrimoCache for both drive or just leave it as it is? I have 32GB of RAM so it would be an issue if I use PrimoCache for both drives. Thanks.

Should I use PromoCahce instead of Samsung Magician
Re: Should I use PromoCahce instead of Samsung Magician
I tried Samsung Magician and it works fine on my Evo. Also, PrimoCache and Magician work together without any problem. If you really want, you can cache your boot drive via Magician and the other one via Primo. Caching your boot drive via both Magician *and* Primo also works, but is a useless waste of memory and increases the chance of data loss during a machine crash. Also, Magician's settings are fixed so you cannot change the cache size etc. For maximum flexibility you might want to disable Magician and cache both drives via PrimoCache. The general rule of thumb is to *never* use two caches at the same time.

Thanks for the reply. I will try to see how PrimoCache will work with the EVO and see if it improves the speed. I just bought a UPS so I'm not that concern about power failure.

It's not just power failure that can cause data loss - bluescreen crashes due to driver errors or conflicts are probably more likely for many users. I'd agree with the advice on multiple caches and Primo Cache does have the advantage of greater flexibility.
Re: Should I use PromoCahce instead of Samsung Magician
I would not recommend to use two different type of caching system on the same machine. It is a similar rule to not have two antivirus program. Could crash your system and loss all your data. I would prefer Primocache over Samsung Magician as it have the infinite write or setting your own delay time. Having a UPS is highly recommended.
