looks like this version 0.98 does not cache the boot files. I had try to restart the computer five times and it does not speed up my computer. Either it is not caching the frequently access files that often(aggressive caching). Also please implement an auto cache system where it try to cache data that it think will be use in the future like Expresscache or Superfetch.
*Maybe cache the first new data that was access if there is available space in the L2. When the the L2 is full, the Primocache should switch to frequently access data to be cache in the L2.*

Well, please see

Hope it helps. Also we have a new version 0.9.9 now which tuned L2 cache algorithm.

Re: new version does not cache boot files
I have been trying out the new release 9.9 today, and I would say after the first couple of reboots it is hitting 99% on the cache, so it seems to be caching the boot files.
I deleted the existing cache, L1 and L2, and started from scratch, and the new algorithm seem to have improved the performance generally. so looking good here.
I have a 2 hard drives cached, the system drive and a data drive, a fast ssd (Samsung 840 pro), and the ssd on both is filling with data much quicker, resulting I feel in more cache hits than I was getting with the previous release.
L1 cache 6gb's L2 10gb's on both drives as a test.

Re: new version does not cache boot files
With Windows 8 and using a 64 GB SSD as the L2 cache, after several reboots Primocache 9.9 showed hit rates of >90% but the actual boot time was slightly slower than version 9.2 which also reported hit rates of >90%. Version 9.8 gave bootimes slightly faster than with no cache but reported hit rates of <1%. Out of these three versions, Primocache 9.2 has been the most satisfactory.
