Failed to enable Invisible Memory

Post by Barvinok »

Hello!
I have licens VSuite Ramdisk Server Edition (64-bit) v.5.6.0
Recently I install on Windows Server 2003 R2 x64 RUS both of your applications (FancyCache and Primo Ramdrive) and got an error "Failed to detect Invisible Memory! [0x00000004]" when I try to enable Invisible Memory.
Accordingly, if to push Enable IM i have message "Failed to enable Invisible Memory!".
I read a reference aboute Invisible Memory, but it don't help me.

My server configuration:
Board Information:
Intel S5520HC with last BIOS update. Part/Model Number : E26045-457
CPU: Dual Intel Xeon [email protected] with enabled HT (OS detected 16 core)
RAM: 64 GB 1333 REG DDR

On Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 RUS all work good!

Is your Windows OS Winows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition? This error indicates the motherboard address remapping feature is not enabled. Do you add "/PAE" switch to your "boot.ini" file?

PS. Is your hardware configuration of Server 2008 the same with that of Server 2003?

Thanks.

1. Yes
2. Yes, but key "/PAE " does not make purport for 64-bit OS (if I am not mistaken).

Yes. With no hardware or BIOS settings change.
