Hi,
Don't know if it is applicable, but I see a benefit for a Read-Cache for USB-Devices without a write (for security) and therefor there is a need (at least for me) that Primocache auto mounts USBs in a separate cache task and borrow at least 512MB for read caching them.
Is such a thing possible with Primocache ?
Is is specially applicable for changing USB-Sticks for backing them up on another usb-HD (at least again for me).
Best regards and thanks for this game of a SW !
P.S.:
You can also implement you version of I/O Optimizing and data-write-optimizing like the last Diskeeper.
It seemed to help a lot for the HD to go more silent.
AutoMount for USB Devices with Read-Cache-Borrow from Cache-settings
Re: AutoMount for USB Devices with Read-Cache-Borrow from Cache-settings
You need to create a cache task for each USB device first. Then PrimoCache can auto cache the usb drive when you plug it back to the computer.
