I've never used primocache, however, and been told how good this software is. My issue, however, I have no idea on how to setup up for my use-case. I have an intel optane 32gb SSD, and I'm currently using their own RST software but was told this was better. I have a relatively slow HDD 5400rpm I bought 2 years ago, but only have my "side" games on hit, whereas my "main" games are on two different SSD's.
Was wondering if someone could tell me the best settings for gaming? I mainly want to make the load times as fast a possible on my slow HDD.
My computer specs:
i7 - 8700k (@ 4.8)
32 GB 3200MHz ram
Nvidia 2080
Best settings for gaming? Topic is solved
Re: Best settings for gaming?
Welcome to the forum!
You may create a cache task for the slow HDD by using optane 32GB SSD as level-2 cache. You may also assign some ram as level-1 cache for this cache task. Please see https://www.romexsoftware.com/en-us/pri ... cache.html for more details.

Re: Best settings for gaming?
Be sure to fully disable Intel's RST software before attempting to use the Optane as a L2 cache. Primocache is definitely better software - you couldn't pay me to use RST again.

TL;DR I just installed it then tested it with my games, and my god, it's really good.
