Thanks. That confirms what I thought. I was just a bit worried that having a L2 write cache on SSD had some other risk associated with it such as premature SSD wear, or data consistency issues. But it sounds like what you say is par for the course.

You'll only get premature wear on the SSD if you write/re-write to it while it's very full (>80%) and you don't have overprovisioning enabled (if your SSD supports it). Keep it under 75%, make sure TRIM runs regularly, and it's not much additional wear. Higher endurance SSDs (like the Samsung Pros) are better at that.
