Defer-write preventing Windows 10 from entering sleep or hibernation

Post by PoulpSquad »

Hello to fellow forum dwellers,

I've been having some trouble with my computer entering sleep or hibernation recently.

After some tests I found out PrimoCache was preventing Windows from entering hibernation/sleep with defer-write enabled.

I tried enabling "Flush cache on Sleep" in "Advanced Defer-Write Options", but that didn't solve the issue.

I need help enabling defer-write while still allowing my computer to sleep/hibernate, please.

I'm running PrimoCache 3.0.2 registered on Windows 10 Enterprise N 2016 LTSB x64 on an Intel i7-7700K @ 4.2 GHz with 32 GB of RAM.

***Edit***

A couple devices were waking my computer up, as I discovered running powercfg -devicequery wake_armed.

Stopping them from turning the computer on in the device manager fixed the issue.

I can now use defer-write without any problem.

Thank you for your patience reading this.

Cheers,

Besides these devices, if you have this hybrid-sleep/hibernate issue when you use PrimoCache in Windows 10, you may check the option "Release L1 Cache on Hybrid-Sleep or Hibernation" in the Advanced Level-1 Cache Options.
