L2 NOT Working

I have windows 10 64bit.

I have 512gb 950pro.

I create partition for L2.

L2 gets setup find with no problems.

When every thing activated on primacache app screen L2 writing and reading shows 0%.

I've tried everything and does not work. Please help!

Is this L2 partition on the drive (950pro) where C: partition is located? If yes, L2 cache is automatically bypassed for C: partition.

No it is not.

I create another partition drive D: for it.

My main drive is C:

I shrink size and create another drive from C:

and I make it partition and name D:

I then format it with NTFS.

I reformat using PrimoCache.


I choose D: as L2 Cache.

Setup works fine everything done.


Then when I look at screen shows 0% on L2 Cache.

I mean that drive C: and drive D: on the same physical disk, right? L2 cache is designed to use a faster disk to speed up a slow disk. If both L2 cache and target volumes on a same disk, PrimoCache automatically bypass these target volumes because such setting is useless.

Hello, yes it is solved then in that case.

I purchase both Cache and Ramdisk when trial is over.

I put Cache inside Ramdisk too. I do not know if it speed up

But I see speed improvement in Ramdisk if I put files like internet explorer and other stuff.

Maybe it help maybe not. (For Cache)

But for other software I put in ramdisk it helps a lot.

Cache by itself in normal drive speed windows up for me. Work good.

Like support said - L2 has to be on a different physical disk (RAM disk, SSD, etc) to be used. Glad it works better for you now.

I don't understand your settings. Do you mean you also set up caching for ramdisks? Or you mean use ramdisk as level-2 cache storage? I think neither of these two ways is necessary.
