Minimize Cache pollution ..

Post by jackthehack »

Hi Dev.

I will make the attached image speak about what I suggest. The screenshot is from the Qiling Fast Cache app. If you notice, the algorithm in this app is super effectively protects the data stored in the cache from cache pollution. The allocated cache size is 8 GB, and more than 33 GB of data has been read, However, App only stored just 4+ GB in the cache. This indicates that this app's algorithm is highly intelligent and efficient. I think it is excludes data that is read only once, even if the amount is massive. I hope the cache performance in PrimoCache can be improved as well.

Thank you.

Sorry for the delayed response as our offices were closed during the recent public holiday period.

We hold a different perspective on this matter. Leaving cache space unused is inefficient, as storing data in RAM cache involves minimal performance cost. However, when cached data is accessed (cache hit scenarios), it delivers substantial performance benefits.
