So I just upgraded my laptop to an SSD (128GB) Now, my game files are on my previous drive (HDD) which I use a SATA to USB adapter to access it. Using primocache, it works perfectly as it speeds up the loading times and had my configuration to read-only to prevent data loss when unplugged. (L1 = 2048MB, L2 = 10240MB)
My problem is, whenever I unplug the HDD, the cache seems to resets back Is there a configuration I could do to keep the cache in my SSD?
I don't know for certain, but I think there is.
It's kind of odd that either Support or else someone else on here who *does* know hasn't answered you already.
Usually this forum is pretty good about answering questions and getting good information out pretty quickly.
Don't know what's going on ...

Aw, that sucks. Wish there really is a way, this software has been a huge help already but it's just when I unplugged my HDD it resets so I have to cache worth of 5gb+ data again
We sincerely apologize that for some reason, the system did not push a new topic notification to us, so we didn't notice this topic and haven't replied until now.
Currently, PrimoCache requires that cached drives must not be taken offline while Windows is running. This is to prevent situations involving offline editing. If you need to unplug the hard drive and keep the cache, you must shut down Windows first (and you may also need to disable Windows Fast Startup) before it's safe to remove the drive.
In future plans, we will add support to persist the cache even when the hard drive is unplugged while Windows is running.
