Older Corsair Accelerator SSD

Post by JohnnieDR »

Howdy...new to forum and software...

I have a Corsair Accelerator (60GB) drive that is installed in my HP PC, Win10. It was promoted as a "caching SSD" and worked with a caching software called Dataplex from Nvelo. And...it worked great. But Nvelo stopped support of the software a few years ago and the drive/software do not work with Windows 10, even in compatibility mode. So...I have a 60GB SSD sitting in my machine that is doing nothing.

I just found the Romex Caching Software, downloaded and installed it , although it doesn't appear to be doing anything. When creating my cache, it located my Corsair drive, but said it was a 450MB drive with 100MB available?? Confusing?? I do not see the Corsair listed as a hidden drive or anywhere.

Has anyone go any experience with this drive or can anyone give me some tips on how to set it up. I've read through FAQ's and how-to's and forum threads.

here is a screenshot of the Primo GUI

Thanks for the help...Johnnie

Hello,

FYI...
I found a simple, yet nice Youtube video on setting up an SSD with PrimoCache...and quickly realized that I had setup the SSD and Primo interface wrong.

I believe I have it working now...will let it run awhile and see if it improves my overall PC and program speed.

yes, when creating a cache task, you shall not choose the accelerator SSD as target volume. The accelerator SSD shall be formatted to be a level-2 cache storage volume first if you want to use it as level-2 cache to speed up other slow disks. For the detailed setup steps, see

I know this is an older thread and not responding with Primocache related advice but, I had a Corsair Accelerator and Dataplex worked perfectly fine in Windows 10 for me prior to upgrading to a larger/faster SSD. Did you have the latest version and install in compatability mode for Windows 7?
