Disabling FancyCache Driver...

Post by intika »

Hi...

Just to report a bug...

May be it's not a bug...

Disabling fancycache driver FancyCcV rxfcv.sys from being lunched
- When the software is not active (mean not enabled)
Start value changed to 4 (default 0)

Cause Blue screen 0x000007b at windows boot...

You'll tell me it's normal cause of the integration of the software... but it should not cause blue screen if the cache is not enabled... may be it's the cause of some of some blue screen issues...

any way just to report

;)

Hi intika,

this is not a bug...

this driver can't be disabled (or change the start value) even if the cache is not enabled. This issue is derived from Windows architecture. You might find that the "timounter.sys" which is from Acronis Backup program has the same issue.

PS. this test is dangerous, the computer might not be recovered via safe mode. it's better to backup the system at first...

hi...

thanks for the answer... i noticed that the driver is needed to run the machine even if not used... as i told cause of the integration of the soft... any way thanks for the explanation :)

don't worry i'am making daily backup of the machine ;)

effectively, with this error i could not start the machine even not on safe mode... i had to manipulate the registry hive from an other windows to make it boot again :)
