Re fancycache & Windows primary cache & readyboost

Post by JulinanRDWinter »

Great product. Couple of Qs.

1. Does fancycache replace any or all of the Win 7 OS system cache? How does it work with this cache?

2 How does fancycache work with readyboost which is a second level ssd cache?

3. Why does fancycache insist on a minimum 128mb primary cache.

4. Does fancycache cache the Windows swapfile if it is in the cached volume/disk?

5. What should be the setting for write caching in the disk properties policies section?

My interest is to use invisible memory on 32 bit systems (typically with 4 Gig) to improve performance during typical office/home use, (with assumption that swap file is not stressed - otherwise I estimate best performance benefit would be from swap file in IM ram disk).

Thanks.

No, it doesn't.

FancyCache is independent of ReadyBoost.

It is to ensure the performance.

You might leave the settings as before.

Thanks.
