I installed FANCYCACHE for disk and receveid "Failed to initialize the program !
What it might happened ?
I do have Vram suite for server running. never had a problem ...
i did reboot, i unistall several times but problem persist

Check if FC driver starting or not...

get "windows 7 manager" from www.yamicsoft.com
under optimizer lunch "start up manager" click on "system driver"
and see if "fancy cache..." is available
check if the file C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\rxfcv.sys is there

Do you have trouble during the install ?

try to install on safe mode

Check windows logs to see if an error occur (on system manager)

I just gave up and restore a backup thta was working,
i use everything,
clean register, i use administrator while running fancycache.
by the end i just restore e everything is working fine.
one of the windos 7 Ultimate trick,

I don't think the original poster has solved this problem, as he said in his last post, he just gave up.
I too am running into this problem.
FC was working fine until recently.
Nothing has changed on my system, I suspect the expiry of the 0.7.0 beta I was using might have something to do with it.
So I installed the latest version 0.7.2, but it still fails with the same error.

I'm running Windows XP SP3, and have admin privileges.
I did noticed right after you click "OK", at the error popup prompt "Failed to initialize the program", there is a brief moment where the FC interface looks like it loads up, but then closes down immediately.
I've installed and uninstalled FC several times.
Like the OP I'm just about to give up on this I think.

Could you check Windows Event Log to see if there's any events from source "FancyCcD" or "FancyCcV"?

I just checked.
There are no events for either processes in Windows Event Viewer.

Thanks for the information. This issue may relate to Windows WMI service. But as we cannot reproduce the problem, I am sorryt ath so far we don't know the exact cause.
