Defragging a ramdisk?

Hi

When a ramdisk is used to hold programs and an image file is saved upon shutdown, is it a good idea to defrag the ramdisk (like a normal hard disk) every now and then? I ask because SSDs shouldn't be defragged.

Thanks.

No, it is totally not needed.

The reason to defrag is that the sequence access performance of a magnetic disk is better than random access. For ramdisk and ssd, the peformances between sequence access and random access are almost same.
