Using RamDisk with Fancycache

Currently I am using Vsuite RamDisk to utilize invisible memory (IM) for OS virtual memory. Your documentation infers Fancycache and RamDisk would not be compatible, since they both use IM. Is this true? What plans or capabilities are there for these programs to work together?

Thanks,
Rich

Currently they can't both enable IM feature.
One of them must not utilize IM. (don't tick "Enable OS Invisible Memory" options if one of them has enabled. FancyCache will automatically check if some known applications have enabled IM feature before it tries to enable IM.)
If only one uses IM, then they can co-exist.

Unless IM is available to both programs I am only going to be able to use one program at a time with any significant benefit. Hopefully this is on your near future project list. Since you can already reserve IM with RamDisk it would not appear to be a great feat to accomplish. As a nonprogrammer everything involved with programing is simple as long as someone else has to do it. :D

Rich

Hi,

Thank you for your suggestion!

We will try to solve this issue to make them can share IM.

I would also want to use IM for both.

Perhaps one can allocate from the bottom up, and the other from the top down?

Yes, actually we can do it. But we also need to update the VSuite Ramdisk program.
