windows11 26100.3775 >>> KB5054979
Hardware Information
CPU:
Ryzen9-7900
Main Board:
Gigabyte Aorus 870E ProIce
Memory:
2x48GB ECC Patriot Viper
Hard Drives:
Samsung EVO 990 plus
PrimoCache Version:
4.4.1
Screenshot(s) of your PrimoCache's main dialog showing cache configuration and statistics:
Problem Description:
Before todays update i had 40-50% caching for all my drives. Primocache worked fine.
After update
2025-04 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 24H2 for x64 (KB5054979)
and
2025-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5055523)
Primocache´s caching is reduced by at least 75% on all drives.
The same behavior that happened with 4.3.0 installed on 24H2
So Microsoft must have changed something on the Cache Priority again.
EDIT 20mins Later : DEINSTALLED UPDATE >>
2025-04 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 24H2 for x64 (KB5054979)
Primocache 4.4.1 is working again with ~61% caching on all drives.
So KB5054979 is the cause of the disfunction of Primocache on my system.
