windows11 26100.3775 >>> KB5054979
Hardware Information

    CPU:
Ryzen9-7900

    Main Board:
Gigabyte Aorus 870E ProIce

    Memory:
2x48GB ECC Patriot Viper

    Hard Drives:
Samsung EVO 990 plus

PrimoCache Version:
4.4.1

Screenshot(s) of your PrimoCache's main dialog showing cache configuration and statistics:

Problem Description:

Before todays update i had 40-50% caching for all my drives. Primocache worked fine.

After update

2025-04 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 24H2 for x64 (KB5054979)

and

2025-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5055523)

Primocache´s caching is reduced by at least 75% on all drives.

The same behavior that happened with 4.3.0 installed on 24H2

So Microsoft must have changed something on the Cache Priority again.

EDIT 20mins Later : DEINSTALLED UPDATE >>
2025-04 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 24H2 for x64 (KB5054979)
Primocache 4.4.1 is working again with ~61% caching on all drives.

So KB5054979 is the cause of the disfunction of Primocache on my system.

it is weird that you get no other reports about this issue.

i just re-checked it and to be honest if this patch KB5054979 is affecting most Win 11_24H2 systems with Primocache on this planet,
you should not look into this soon but set high priority and check this asap....

i am in Trial 20+ days left , so i haven't bought your product yet..

i would appreciate it if you´d show more interest in looking at possible problems with your Product after reported...

Did you guys check the performance too instead of only the numbers?
Because it looks like MS improved their own caching, leaving less to cache for PrimoCache.
