Hello, I was wondering if the timed save function is still going to create a save if no change has occurred? I want to set a low time for this timed save to reduce the chance of data loss but I'm unsure if it's wise to do this if it's going to write every few minutes even when there have been no changes. Also I'm open to suggestions to the best way to achieve this other than timed save because my computer never goes to sleep and only shuts down when the power goes out.

As long as you are not using the compressed image, all saving modes only save changed data to the image file. So if there is no data changed, no real write will happen.
