Installing PrimoCache Server crashes rainmeter

I just installed PrimoCache Server, and run into the immediate issue that it crashes Rainmeter on startup which I use for essential health monitoring.
Is this a known issue? Are there any workarounds?

OS: Server 2008 R2
PrimoCache v4.2.0 (Server edition)
Rainmeter 4.5.10 (also tried 4.5.8)

Rainmeter 3.3.3 seems to start without crashing but it's too old and doesn't work with the skins I use for it.

I had no problem using regular Primocache alongside Rainmeter on a Windows 10 workstation, nor running rainmeter alongside any other software.

So rainmeter crashed even the cache task was not created yet, right? Was the PrimoCache GUI program set to auto launch with Windows startup?
Thanks.

Correct. just restarting after primocache installation was complete made rainmeter crash on startup.

Nope, it's not set to automatically launch the GUI program. Rainmeter is set to auto-start though, of course.

OK, so with some help from the rainmeter people making suggestions and a process of elimination, it seems to be the case that my particular choice of "skin" was actually causing the crash.
So it happens in the following specific combination of things:
  • PrimoCache Server
  • Server OS
  • Rainmeter 4.x
  • "Gadgets" rainmeter skin set
  • "Network Meter Pro" skin of that set active
I'm guessing this might be a bug in Rainmeter and/or the specific "skin" (which is a bunch of scripting as well as visuals) so i'll pursue that avenue first.

Thank you for the information. Seems quite weird because the PrimoCache kernel component (no GUI) should have nothing to do with on Windows visual customization. We will check it.
