How do I know it's doing anything

I bought primo cache and I have no idea if it's doing any good. Thing's 'seem' to be faster, I guess. I have two one terabyte ssds and two toshiba 7200 rpm 3 terabyte plate drives. I'm using win 8.1, have a ryzan 7 2700x and 32 gigs of corsair memory. My videos are on one of the plate drives and I think I set things up right. I mean, if you follow the wizard it seems pretty idiot proof. But there is a delay of up to two seconds or so. Pictures come up pretty fast but my Faststone viewer takes a bit to load the thumbnails for both pics and folders. I'm not saying it hasn't helped. I'm saying it hasn't really changed the situation in an obvious way. Any ideas on what I should do?

You should post some information about your L1 and L2 caches. Definitely setting L2 caches on the SSD for the HDD drives should make a visible difference. Of course, besides the drive access, the CPU processing time may also take an important time in processing big files.

Maybe those files that aren't coming up fast yet are not yet cached onto L2. The first time read of those files will always be at regular HDD speeds. After that they will be cached in L1 and L2. Once they are cached you will DEFINITELY see a difference. PrimoCache is one of the few products that promises to speed up your PC that REALLY does.

@andykarta, could you open your PrimoCache, choose/highlight the target volume item in the main dialog, and then make a screenshot of the PrimoCache main dialog and sent it to us? We'd like to see how the cache is configured and used. Thanks.
