Cache boot drive

I am setting up an old computer of mine for my kids to play games on. I am replacing my 120GB boot ssd in machine for a larger one.

Would it be beneficial to use my old 120GB as a cache for a 500GB HDD boot/storage for my kids computer? Not many programs or games will be installed at a time. That way I am not throwing away this drive that still works.

You might want to run a NVMe health check on the drive before re-purposing it. If it checks out then there's little risk in using it as a read cache.

I will check on that when I get home. That sounds great I will probably do the 30 day trial and see how well it works.
