L1 flush to L2 at the same time

I mentioned this as part of a tech support question. It would be nice if L1 would also flush to L2 at the same time it was flushing to the hard drive. This way the data would remain on L2 if needed again later. As it is now when it flushes from L1 it may be evicted later and need to be read from the hard drive.
Please implement in future build.
