L2 cache, TRIM and defrag HDD

Hi,

I have a couple of questions about L2 cache.

1. Are blocks trimmed in L2 cache? Will using a partition on a SSD for the cache affect the performance of other partitions?

2. If I defrag the HDD, will that adversely affect it's L2 cache? Should I disable the L2 cache before defraging the HDD?

3. I notice write performance only matches that of the cache if deferred write is enabled. Are there any adverse affects (besides the usual) of setting deferred write for a L2 cache.

It works great and I am just looking for what side affects to watch out for.

Thanks

So far no. We'll do it in future.

If SSD is full, I think yes. See above answer.

Yes, by design PrimoCache can handle this and automatically update L2 cache.
