Description:
Since 2.5.0 version of PrimoCache I have to press the power button to shut down the PC (more than 4 seconds by BIOS settings).
If it's done after the HDD's led turned off the L2 cache isn't reset when the PC restart.
I think that the issue is linked to the paging file caching.
Best regards.

The problem happends too when I want to restart.
I wait a few seconds after the HDD's led turns off and press the reset button.
The L2 cache is safe.
Unable to shut down safely the PC
Re: Unable to shut down safely the PC
Thank you for the bug report!
Did you try the 2.4 version back after you saw this problem? I'd like to confirm that this problem only happens in 2.5.0.
The 2.4.0 version can be downloaded from the following link.

Re: Unable to shut down safely the PC
With the 2.4.0 version all worked fine.
Re: Unable to shut down safely the PC
Thank you again for the confirmation!
We'll try a better solution for this problem. Before the new release, you may just use the 2.4.0 version.

Re: Unable to shut down safely the PC
I choose to keep the 2.5.0 version running. It's paging file caching feature is awesome...
Thanks for this improvement.

Re: Unable to shut down safely the PC
I tried to restart with PrimoCache paused and it works...
Re: Unable to shut down safely the PC
Thanks for the information! So temporarily a workaround is to use a script to pause PrimoCache on shutdown.
We already find something that might be related to this issue. I hope the new version will fix this issue.

Re: Unable to shut down safely the PC
I'm surprised you're continuing to offer support for XP. That takes dedication, 15 years after it's release date.

Re: Unable to shut down safely the PC
Yes, so far we still support Windows XP though Microsoft has stopped support. I don't use XP, but we do have testing machines installed XP.
