L2-cache counts write data also?

The way i see it, caching of writedata-strategy is for this session only (download zip file, extract it - download file, execute it).

My question: does the L2 cache factor in write of data? Does it cache a downloaded file? For example it is downloaded (written to disk), then executed (read) - downloaded files, update packages are rarely ever used more than once (and should not be accelerated by L2, only L1).

Does L2 factor in writes when choosing wether or not to cache it when using "Read-data and Write-data" strategy?

I just noticed that L2 has allot of writes after a bootup and the antivirus was updating.

Thanks! Great product and will absolutely buy it after the trail expires!

Sorry for the late reply!

L2 cache does not count write-data. But if a downloaded file is read or executed, it will be cached. Though you may think L2 shall only cache data that was read at least twice, many users request to cache data into L2 even data was read once in order to speed up L2 gathering. Also because PrimoCache is a block-level caching program and it only sees raw data without file information, it is kind of difficult to filter downloaded files or update packages which are rarely used.
