Reads should be trimmed too - if I have 64GB L2 cache set to gather after 1 second, and I launch a backup which causes read of 256GB, L2 storage starts to gather after backup is finished and gets overwritten 4 times. It should trim the data to gather only to the last 64GB, otherwise there's 192GB of wasted SSD writes.
I'm also surprised that it doesn't gather in realtime since it's set to 1 second...
