Manually upload to SSD files/folders that I expect to be used extensively (e.g. databases).

Primarily intended for initial cache population to reduce the related performance hit.

A quick way to cache any Files [you normally can access].
Copy the whole folder to another Drive, same drive may also work, but has to be copy to trigger it to cache
While copying File there will be little if any written to L@ cache, but don't worry when copying finishes it will.
You can delete the copy right away as well w/o affecting.
And will be nearly all files read will be written to L2 Cache
And some RAM helps too.

I use a small SSD 60 GB for OS
a 2 TB WD Black, with a small 1st partition between 200-300GB.
I cache the system drive with 4 GB RAM.
And use a 250GB SSD to cache 1st partition on HDD, and Also 8GB RAM.

I got a lot of RAM originally wanting to use RAM drive.
But works much better like this.
