Hi
I have a fairly high and machine and have been trying out the trail version.
The setup is 2 x 60 ssd in raid 0 (32k stripe size) for OS & cache.
Also 2 TB drive for game installations.
I can use 80 GB for the cache on the SSDs.
I am using velossd right now but is limited in its options. Primocache has many more options which is why I am interested.
For game installations, usually through steam, I can do updates while playing, writing to the disk.
It may be wise to have the L2 cache to read only.
If playing a game, the cache will fill up with read data of that game. Another benefit, would be to validate a game, where all its installation is read & therefore in the cache.
Is my understanding of how the sofware works sound?
The trail version can only use 32GB for L2 cache. Can the full version do more? Is there a limit on the L2 cache size?
Will an L1 cache using the computer memory be useful for gaming. I have 16GB, possibly allocating 4GB for an L1 cache.
Any tips for block sizes?
Thanks

The trial version has all the functionality of the licensed version. The maximum L2 cache size is 2044GB.ianmozzy wrote:The trail version can only use 32GB for L2 cache. Can the full version do more? Is there a limit on the L2 cache size?
