A lot more memory used then allocated

Hi, I asked this question before and tried everyone suggestions but still no luck. I have 32 GB of RAM. I have 8 GB set to Level 1 caching for two SSD drives. The block size is 64KB. The Cache Strategy is Read-data & Write -data. I enable Defer-Write for 120 seconds. Currently PrimoCache is using about 16 GB of RAM. Is there anyway I can decrease this amount?
Here is a screenshot of my PrimoCache GUI. I hope this works:

Thanks for any help!
David
PS I bought PrimoCache but had to reformat my OS Drive and have not had the chance to put in my registry key

Have you tried disabling deferred write to see what effect that has on the memory usage?

Davidst95, you posted this problem
in this thread and received replies which you have not followed up on.
Please do not create multiple threads for the same issue and if you want assistance, please follow-up in your original thread. Thanks.

I can't duplicate your findings - at least on a smaller scale. Can you post a screen shot from the tool you are using to determine memory usage (your screenshot of PrimoCache GUI settings posted fine - thanks for that).

Thanks for the reply and sorry for posting my question twice. I'm just using Task Manager to look at the memory usage. When I enable PrimoCache my free memory gets lower and lower as time goes on. I am not setting something up correctly? Thank you.

Do the utilities mentioned in the other thread (
Process Explorer or
Process Hacker) show similar memory usage figures? (if so, are they linked to the PrimoCache service or something else). And does memory usage continue rising indefinitely or does it stop at a specific value? (it may be quicker to reduce the L1 cache size to 1-2GB for this, to confirm if the memory usage is linked to cache size).
