[2014-04-16] PrimoCache 1.0.1 released!

Post by Support »

We're glad that PrimoCache 1.0.1 is released now! This is a stable and formal version of PrimoCache.

Change Log:
1. Fix bug: Unexpected errors may happen on resuming from sleep/hibernation/shutdown(fast startup) if using USB devices as L2 storage.
2. Fix bug: Remove the noisy message "You need to format this disk..." each time USB L2 devices connect to computers on Windows Vista/7/8. (Note: this bug fix only applies for new L2 storage. For existing USB L2 storage, you need to re-format it to L2 storage.)
3. Fix bug: Extremely low probability crash when cache is working.
4. Fix bug: Unexpected errors such as crash when L2 cache is enabled, especially with Defer-Write enabled.
5. Fix bug: Cache strategy may not apply immediately when users changes cache strategy.

Not sure. Just because you take away "beta" will not take away all bugs. There might be always new situations that have not been tested like at any other software too. But this is nothing special and "final" or not will not make much difference especially since the last beta was very stable already.

To intika:
It seems that your PrimoPlugIn don't works with this 1.0.1 version. All was fine with 0.9.9.

To support:
Yesterday evening, I done 2 things.
- Partitions alignement (using AOMEI Partition Assistant Standard Edition 5.5 - free soft) of the cached volume and the L2Cache volume wich are both HDDs.
- Installation, starting from scratch, of the 1.0.1 version.

All works fine and it seems work smootly than with 0.9.9.
Is the L2Cache managed with a new algorythm?

Thx.

The website is still a bit messed up. It now has a web page for PrimoCache ordering. But then everything on the page refers to Primo Ramdisk. It makes it extremely unclear as to if this means there is an error in the webpage, of if the same license will work for both...

Very rare companies test their applications many years over beta release before releasing final distribution, plus when you see alternatives it's all crap...
And personally i thing PrimoCache have been stable since release 0.8, the only think i could comment about romexsoftware is that they are not well managing designs lool, but it's work that's the most important
