Numbers don't make sense

I just installed Primocache on my system, and then started a complete system backup using Acronis True Image.

My disk drive (drive D), has over 400 gig of data. When I looked at the stats, it said the following:

Total Read 13.87 gig
Cached Read 10.36 gig
Total Write 7.89 gig

The cache size is 1 gig (total system memory is 8 gig), this is Windows 7 64 bit.

This is after backing up over 200 gig of data, and doing nothing else. So it seems that the "Total Read" isn't accurate, or that it means something else.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Acronis is likely using its own driver to access files (so it can copy those locked by other applications or Windows itself) which would bypass PrimoCache's driver. I see a similar thing with Drive Snapshot.

Which hardly matters because a full image backup is the last thing anyone should be caching...

I know that :-) (about not wanting to cache the full backup)

I was doing it as a test to see if Primocache was working. I'll do something else instead.

Thanks
