Cache network share

Greetings,
Instead of caching an internal hard drive, I would like to cache a network SMB share into RAM.
Is this possible with PrimoCache?
Thanks
A.

I just tried a symlink to a SMB share folder and ran my cache update script and PrimoCache didn't cache it for reading in L1 or L2.
Sorry! I think it's not possible because cache programs do it on the block level, which is based on hardware, not file level.
Maybe you can try eboostr... cache the drive you want with a symlink inside that drive that points to the SMB you want to cache. That program goes by file level caching.

If PC "A" has a drive cached, will a networked PC (PC "B") reading from that PC's cached drive (PC "A"), even if it's via a Share, be getting the benefits of the drive cache (PC "A's" cached drive)?

PrimoCache cannot cache network mapped drives.

Thanks Support, but I already knew that.
What I meant was, if a specific drive IS cached, and that drive is accessed from another computer on the network, will read requests first go to the cache for that drive ?
I hope that's a little clearer (I know I'm not good a clear and concise).

Sorry for late reply. Yes, the read requests will go to the cache first.
