perfectdisk 12 <-> fcdisk 0.7.2

Post by thomas »

hi,
with fcfd l1 2g, defer write 30s, l2 32g ssd i have problems when using perfectdisk. it seems that all defraged files on my harddisk are "copyed" to l2-ssd. so defragspeed is very very slow. when pausing fc all works fine.
would be great if an update could fix this because i use autodefrag when pc is idle. so i can't pause it everytime by hand. even the ssd would live a bit longer, if only nessesary things (cachedata) would be copied and not "trash" from drive defrag.

regards,
thomas

The same thing happens with Norton 2012 (NAV and NIS). The moment I delete a large amount of files, the process is too slow. I turn off the cache (both FancyCache as RST) and everything works normally. Solution: I am using kaspersky (But Norton is much faster in other settings that do not use cache). It seems that some programs do not deal well with cache memory.
