Failed to start caching - 0x80041001

On my WinXP system, the NTFS cluster size is 4K, and elsewhere I read that the FancyCache Block Size should match my NTFS Cluster Size.

When configuring FC, If I specify a Block Size of 4KB and a Cache Size of 128MB then select 'Start Caching;, I get the message 'Failed to start caching or configure the cache! [0x80041001]'

Turns out that I have to raise the block size to 128KB in order to get caching started. What does this error mean, and why can't I use a smaller block size?

Small block size requires a lot of additional memory, especially on large volume/disk. So the error was caused by insufficient system memory.
