Hey, thanks for joining the conversation Jaga.
There have been alot of updates lately that is true, but I got this error when I updated 2.7.0 to 3.0.0 also. I do not remember when that was though.
I am not sure if it is MFT in my circumstance since I got no errors. All the diskchecks and everything gives 0 faults. But it might be too I do not know.
I ordered another Harddrive yesterday, those I have were going to get filled up within this year so a new drive was on the horizon.
Allready starting to download some of my images from the cloud. But I am letting the disks that are affected stay as it is as for some more time, maybe Support can find a work around in the future. Meanwhile I will put together a Windows PC with some parts I have and see if I can get anything off one of the disks.

Yes, we suspected the file system data corruption, but chkdsk showed no errors. And the results are different between the Safe mode and the Normal mode, so at least something running in the normal mode affects the volumes.

ogbbv wrote:Hey just to add to this topic I am asking at the windows forum too if they have any tips. I am sure this got triggered by the PrimoCache update but I think at the core it might be some Bitlocker related stuff going on too. So I will bother them a bit now too. Thank so far in trying to resolve this issue.
I missed this earlier when reading the topic - I suspect Bitlocker is the root cause for your problems, and that we had two totally different issues going on (yours and mine). I tried encrypted volumes via Bitlocker (and other similar disk encryption methods) a few years ago, and didn't like the fact it was problematic to run utilities on them when they got damaged, so I reverted to standard volumes.

Have you tried visiting the Bitlocker unlock drive area within Windows? It may be that the drives are simply re-locked and forgot their automatic key on boot. https://www.howtogeek.com/263561/how-to ... ted-drive/

Yes I saw that article but for me I do not see the Icons/symbols with the lock. Safemode helped me too see the folders but could not see or open the files. This is quite strange. Got the new hard drive today, downloading the back ups now just to be on the safe side. Not putting that new drive on bitlocker. I understand that on laptops that can get stolen in the wild it may be more important. But if I have a break in here at home I got other stuff to worry about I guess.
