Hello,
I was wondering how I could make my ram disk bigger when there is an associated image file for loading and saving attached.
I edit the disk settings and change the value of the disk size but when saving the configuration I get the error that the image file does not match the disk size. I find this strange as the file size could be smaller than the ram disk size when using a smart image (if I understood the documentation correctly).
Should I link to a new (and to be created) image file? Will my current data be saved correctly?
I guess I could make another (temporary) disk on another drive letter but then I would have to move data around and my Windows TEMP directory is located on the ram disk I would like to make larger.
I was hoping I could just change the size, reboot and be done with it...
Thanks for any information,
D.
How to make existing ram disk larger
Re: How to make existing ram disk larger
Hi datkif,
Sorry for late reply.
Currently it's not easy to make existing ramdisk image file larger. You may need copy ramdisk content out and create a new ramdisk with new image file.
In later version, we'll make image file operations easy. Thanks.
