Usage of UIMMI module

Post by Luca69 »

I have a Lenovo T420 core i5 with 4GB of memory and running Windows 7 32 bit version.

Control Panel -> System says that 4,00GB of memory are installed but only 2,91GB are usable and I tried to use the Invisible Memory as disk cache using FancyCache.

I use the command bcdedit /set pae ForceEnable to force Windows to use PAE.

I started the GUI and I enabled the IM:

And the main Window shows it as enabled:

But if I look in the Task Manager, only conventionl memory is used ?!?!

Am I doing something wrong?

In FancyCache, you can only use Invisible Memory for level-2 caching.
