l2 cache

Post by fpefpe »

I have a NVMe SSD connected to my computer via usb3 --- would this a safe place for L2 cache? also, can the size of the L2 cache be larger than the L1 cache?

It is recommended to connect the SSD to the computer internally. If you have to connect via usb, please ensure that the SSD is always connected when Windows is running and don't enable Defer-Write on L2.

Yes, they are independent.
