Block Size
What size should I choose? And what is the difference?
P.S.: I am paying customer.
Re: Block Size
It seems that your target drive's capacity is quite large. You can try 32KB/64KB if the memory overhead is not too big. Increase the block size until the memory overhead is acceptable.

Re: Block Size
Hi and thank you for the reply!
Where I can see the memory overhead?
And what is the acceptable amount?

DANIEL

Re: Block Size
For the block size: I just tested my systems performance with Crystal Disk mark on any block size, and I found that on my system 32k blocks gave the highest performance.

Re: Block Size
I set mine at 64KB.
And I have 2,15GB memory ovearhead.
Is that okay?

Re: Block Size
The overhead seems high. I think you may change the block size to 128KB or bigger to reduce the memory overhead.SylverCheetah53 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2023 1:14 pm I set mine at 64KB.

Okay. I changed it to 128KB.

I do not know what is the optimal amount.

Re: Block Size
I think this is acceptable. If you want to reduce the overhead even more, you can change the block size to 256KB. But generally the performance of 128KB should be better than 256KB.
