Supervolume style boot drive from Cache (Servers)

Post by Pummelchen »

Hello,

in the ancient history we had Superspeed Supervolume to put drive C into RAM after boot, not just the recently accessed files. As the company is gone since years, it would be nice if you could implement this core feature. The speed difference is significant.

Thanks :)

This requires that the RAM size is no smaller than the drive capacity. In most computers, users don't have that much RAM installed. In addition, some files/folders are rarely used. I think a more appropriate solution is that users can specify directories to load into RAM, which is what we plan to do.
