cache a hdd using a ssd for cache questions

Post by AlwaysWinter »

is there any realworld bennifit caching a hdd to speed it up id assume so but also...

does the caching get better over time with a hdd by making list of fil;es acced more frequently then others even if the hdd isnt used all that much? does this software work like that thropugh reboots and such?

also id assume to do this ud want a ssd to be the cache not ram, however can you use the sdd to boost the hdd long term while it coping data from the ssd to ram after reboots?

if i where to use this software whats the best guide to setting up caching a hdd that explains l2 cache or whatever ect

Usually SSD cache for HDD can be used in two scenarios:
1) You have already stored data in HDDs and you don't want to migrate data to SSDs. For eg. existing Windows systems on a HDD.
2) You need a lot of storage space and want good performance but have a limited budget.

SSD cache is very useful for HDDs. For more information, please see
