Benchmarks well, no problems using it so far. I added a 6.1 CrystalDiskMark to the performance post to support the new performance claim.

I do have to ask however - will we see any gains from re-creating the Ramdisk in 6.1? Still using a drive created in 5.7.

No need to recreate the virtual disks. Same performance between a new created virtual disk and a disk created by an old version.

And still no exFAT support.
You promised to everyone that you "have the plan to add exFAT support" (I quote you here, these are your words) to Primo Ramdisk.
But after 2, 3, 4 years Primo Ramdisk still does not support exFAT.
I will consider switching to ImDisk (with native exFAT support and dynamic memory and compact mode!).

PS: At least 8 (Eight!) YEARS!
support wrote:Hi,

Many thanks for your suggestion!

Some users have also requested this feature. Currently we are focusing on the major upgrade for performance improvement and friendlier UI. exFAT support is in our TODO list, but it is still under study now.
PS 2: I help myself by formatting the ramdisk after the creation to exFAT via the Task Scheduler. But native support is preferred and an option to execute a script right after ramdisk creation is also needed, you could add that in the soon future perhaps.
NEGATIVE: After formatting to other non-native file systems, Primo Ramdisk's DMM compact mode doesn't work.

Also to add, with updated Windows systems, when using Primo's dynamic memory management with compact mode, deleted files will not always free up the RAM, so all versions of Primo Ramdisk are working very very subpar since at least 2015 or 2016, I observed this myself.

As far as I know, ImDisk Toolkit has always worked on its memory management code, there are many comments to read about TRIM and other methods, but not Primo.
You take much money for your products, but you almost don't support them at all!

You mean like this?
All available on their official Support page, linked directly from their main webpage. You'd have to be blind to miss it all.

I get quick response from both sales AND tech support when I contact them through email. And there are several people on the forums that may try and help when Support is absent for a few days.

Prices for both Ramdisk and Primocache are very reasonable - I've seen some caching/ramdrive software in the past for around $80 U.S. for a workstation edition which is ridiculous. And I saw some FTP software for sale on the web the other day for $79. A license to Primo Ramdisk gets you two (2) copies to install for only $30, and all Romex's products have a lifetime license: "As a licensed user of Primo Ramdisk, you are entitled to lifetime free updates and technical support from us."

I think people get used to freeware and expect everything to be free. Even Softperfect's (which used to be free) is paid now, and costs exactly the same as Primo Ramdisk. Having used both for many years, I can firmly say Primo Ramdisk is a better product.

You could, you know... try emptying the Recycle Bin. Or perhaps your memory use didn't climb high enough to trigger a compact on the ramdrive. It works just fine for me on a Windows 10 system. I do quite a bit of downloading, gaming, video editing, etc.. all on a 20GB Primo Ramdisk. Never had an issue. The one time I had a problem with an older version of Primocache BSODing, I emailed support and it was replied to within a day, and the patch was put out shortly after. They also offered me a free copy of the software for helping figure out root cause, which I kindly declined. You won't get that from most companies on the web.

Perhaps instead of repeatedly threatening you're going to use another product, you could contact [email protected] first and try to resolve your problems. The forums are not an official support channel, unless you're prepared to wait. But since you've made exactly 3 posts in the 72 days you've been registered here (none of them asking for support).. you don't seem to be truly interested in support, just complaining.

As for exFAT integration - see the OFFICIAL reply on it. Romex never promised it would make it in - quite the contrary.
support wrote::oops: well, a new version has been prepared. But I am sorry that it won't come with exFat support.
That's hardly a "promise". Product roadmaps and plans change all the time.

Edit: typo

@Jaga, thank you for the reply!
@06062018, I completely understand. The roadmap of Primo Ramdisk was changed/delayed a lot due to some reasons. We're sorry for that. Now Exfat support is ongoing, I hope it will come out in the next version. We're also improving the DMM feature.

I think Primo Ramdisk is designed to support Dynamic Memory Release (TRIM) on NTFS filesystem only.

Fanboy, go shove your crap elsewhere.

Note to support: Modified post because of your censorship. And actually, it doesn't sound so good, it's about damn time!
