Lock cache during time window

Well, I said in my previous post that there were no suggestions needed, but after some time testing, I have a suggestion for the server version:

Lock cache (so do not allow new content) during some time windows (day + time frame), to prevent the backup from trashing the cache.
(at this moment I have scheduled tasks to pause the cache, but I want to lock it, so it keeps functioning during backup)

Thank you for the suggestion! We're doing something to avoid putting read/write data generated by backup software to cache.
