Hi, Romex!
i have optane 16gb as a caching ssd for system ssd in primocache. it performs interestingly fine. everything is clear with this case.
i also have a hdd for big amounts of data. optane with its 16gb is very small for l2 for this hdd, so i tried to take another physical ssd and use it as dedicated l2 for this hdd.
unexpectedly i cant create one more l2 caching volume on another physical ssd. as i understand primocache offers to create l2 volumes only on one pysycal ssd but in my case it is small 16 optane.
is it real to crate separate l2 volume on different ssds to cache differnt drives?
thanks.
Several different ssds for different cache tasks
Re: Several different ssds for different cache tasks
You can create L2 volumes on any physical drive as many as you want. There is no limit. And each L2 volume can provide caching for up to 16 cache tasks (internally partitioned).
