L2 write cache

Hello, if i run L2 cache only and defer write e.g. 10s do i still loose data in case of power outage? Simply. can i run L2 write cache safely without UPS?

When Defer-Write is on, you have the risk of data loss on power outage, system crash/hang, whether you use L1 cache or L2 cache.

same applies if you alloc just write cache on L2 and no defer write?

If defer-write is not enabled, no risk of data loss. But in such case, usually there's no need to set L2 writing cache because too much writing on SSDs will reduce SSDs' life and affect their performance.
